This Is Epic

No, really it is Epic! Epic wide oak flooring from reSAWN Timber is the ultimate in durability and beauty in the flooring space. It is w-i-d-e. How wide, you ask? 13.5” wide. Constructed in a stable, 3 ply format, the Epic white oak flooring using matching top and bottom layers to create a thick wear layer and stabilizing base layer sets a new standard in flooring.

What else?  For the base layer, it uses the white oak that would normally not be considered “face grade” due to knots or other irregularities, that would not be visually appealing. Still incredibly strong, there is no need to dispose of this useful oak, rather, it can be repurposed as part of the flooring. Looking for something that nobody else has, is visually stunning, has dramatic width and would be totally, well, Epic? You found it here → resawn@caragreen.com

To Build Is To Restore

What if buildings could actually benefit the environment? Many architecture firms have adopted this concept and use green roofs or solar panels in their construction. But what if the building cladding itself could improve the surrounding air and break down…

Waste Is A Resource

Don’t be a tosser. That garbage can be put to good use. Durat uses recycled plastic as a filler in its solid surface. The company is exploring the use of ocean plastic in its manufacture. PaperStone uses recycled paper paired with…

Live and Learn – The Paradigm Shift In The Built Environment

Get savvy and smarter with CaraGreen’s new Lunch and Learn on how the environment is impacting the way we build. This course explores the consumer lifestyle and how our disposable approach to daily living is destroying our oceans and landscapes. It also takes a deep dive into the constructed world and how that is the largest contribution to the waste stream. Lastly, we offer immediate ways that we can improve our planet as consumers and as building professionals. We can start small or we can design big, both helping us to achieve our ultimate goal: to Create Better. Email info@caragreen.com or your local sales rep to set up a Lunch and Learn.

This course is eligible for one AIA HSW LU.

Competition

Everybody likes a little competition. OK, a lot of competition. While NCAA playoffs descend upon us, we thought we would reflect on our own approach to competition. There is usually no benefit to one player in a product category, it…

Our Boldest and Brightest Meet Your Boldest and Brightest

We were so excited to do a photo shoot at Marble Children’s Museum in Downtown Raleigh and see all the vibrant installations of Durat solid surface. Chosen for its sleek, bright colors (think jammy purples, confetti whites and electric greens), Durat was a must-have for the designers when they were looking for a solid surface that would match the energy and excitement of the clientele.

Used in the “Seedlings” section, Durat color 810 is a bright green to match the plants and trees that the children engage with as they explore and grow with their own creations.

Durat 750 is the truest purple and provides the transaction counter in the gift shop. Seamless, clean and healthy, Durat and kids are a perfect match: inspiring, unbounded and uplifting.
