EchoSky Reaches New Heights

Upon relocating into a former dining facility, Belmont Central and Student Organizations were confronted with a problem: how to manage the acoustics of an exposed ceiling in an educational setting. Kirei’s EchoSky acoustic system solved that problem in a visually appealing and highly effective manner, with its long, streamlined ceiling panels. According to Janet Wennerlund of Earl Swensson Associates in Nashville, TN, “We chose to remove the existing ceilings and expose the structure so overhead acoustics needed to be addressed in a non-traditional format. EchoSky provided that acoustic solution. Its low profile was an important characteristic as well given the low heights of the structure and mechanical services. The clean contemporary aesthetic of the system married well with the student-centric vibe of the interior. And the general contractor commented on the ease of assembly and installation. If a GC focuses in on a product in that manner I consider it a win/win.”

Burning Love

Chattanooga, Tennessee is home to the newly opened Songbirds Guitar Museum. This is the premier collection of vintage guitars in the world, displayed artistically throughout the beautifully designed space. ReSAWN Charred Timber adorns the walls in the Hai finish – the darkest, most charred version of Shou Sugi Ban. The owners and guests of the museum love the dark contrast between the burned timbers and the showpiece guitars, which are complemented by imagery and videos of musicians, their guitars and their incredible backstories. PaperStone Gets Benched

PaperStone takes a seat along some of the most revered furniture designs with this stunning bench, designed and assembled by Austin Bryant Moore.  Using durable PaperStone sheets and a CNC router, the company turned Pewter PaperStone into this beautiful work of art.  This is testament to the workability and versatility of this material, which can be used for applications from Lab tops and intricate furniture to cutting boards, kitchen worktops, and tabletops.  For more information on PaperStone and getting samples, please email paperstone@caragreen.com.

After the Fact – Kirei EchoPanel
